Biography
John Bettles joined Mott MacDonald in 2020. He subsequently took on the role of global rail systems professional head for rail. John was instrumental in the delivery of Crossrail stations programme in 2022 and acted as head of Plateau 2 during the entry into service phase, successfully commissioning ten stations onto the network.
Since 2022, John has been the global practice leader for rail and head of engineering management and is responsible for the technical excellence and competence management of Mott MacDonald’s global practice covering over 1,000 staff.
John is a Fellow of institution of Civil Engineers, and was instrumental in development of digital competence process for rail engineering disciplines within Mott MacDonald.
