Biography

Chris Mealing is the major projects director for North America. In his role, Chris provides leadership and oversight of the planning, governance, and execution of major projects in the US and Canada. 

Chris has over 30 years of design, construction, and management leadership experience in transportation and infrastructure projects. Since joining Mott MacDonald in 2005, Chris has held leadership positions on major projects, and in business operations and strategy including as managing director of Mott MacDonald’s Canada business. More recently he was the strategy lead for North America, spearheading the implementation and continuous development of Mott MacDonald’s growth strategy in the US and Canada. Chris is a strong advocate for collaborative project delivery, leveraging digital capability, and has a true passion for solving our clients’ most complex problems and delivering projects that transform our clients’ businesses and our communities.  

Chris’ extensive project efforts are exemplified by his direction of the design of the Onshore Works for Vancouver’s Port Mann/Highway 1 Design Build project, among the largest design-build projects in Canada at the time. For this effort, Chris was the recipient of Mott MacDonald’s global project manager of the year award, in addition to the many industry awards recognizing the project.
