Cathy Travers

Cathy was appointed to the Executive Board in January 2022 and became the Group managing director of Mott MacDonald in August of that year.

She has spent her entire working career at Mott MacDonald after graduating from the University of Sheffield in 1988 with a masters in civil and structural engineering. During this time Cathy has worked in a number of senior leadership roles including managing director for the Buildings and Infrastructure business.

Cathy was also our UK and Europe managing director. In this role she led a diverse team of 8000 colleagues, delivering significant infrastructure projects across transport, water, energy and the built environment.

In her role as Group managing director she is responsible for the operational management of our global business and under her tenure we have seen continued year on year accelerated organic growth.

Cathy has continually used her expertise and insight to influence change. She is passionate about people and actively promotes a culture of inclusivity across our business, and plays a leading role in the development of our people. Under her leadership our global engagement has increased to industry leading levels.
