What do you enjoy about working here?

I have worked at Mott MacDonald for over 20 years now. Working on projects that address issues impacting millions of people is very rewarding. Most of my work has contributed to creating employment and access to better infrastructure. This has been intellectually stimulating, and I feel honoured to be associated with solutions that address national concerns.

Tell us about your specialism and why you chose it

Whilst my current area of work is development, my main career specialism has been management consulting. I started my career as a shopfloor engineer, but the nature of job wasn’t something which suited me, and I decided to enhance my skills by completing a Master’s in business administration and finance. During these studies I learned about management consulting and was keen to take it up as my career.

Post-graduation, I got the opportunity to work with Mott MacDonald, specifically in management consulting. The analytical abilities honed during my engineering and management studies means I was well suited to the specialism; helping me to think out-of-box and provide solutions to problems faced by clients.

Why did you choose Mott MacDonald as a company you wanted to be part of?

Every day brings new learning, which helps me to become a better person and keep my learning mindset alive.

What have you learnt while working at Mott MacDonald?

There is no one ‘correct’ answer to a problem and so solutions can be different for a similar problem depending on culture, social fabric, location and time.

How do you contribute to Mott MacDonald making a difference to people and planet?

Before my current role, I led a multi-disciplinary team which worked with governments, corporates and citizens to provide solutions to problems associated with areas such as employment, access to affordable healthcare and climate resilient infrastructure. Many of the programmes our team worked on were critical for India to further develop, as well as meet its global commitments on climate change.

In my work focussing on the development and growth of our India business, I help make a difference to people and planet by supporting us to win related work and address client needs in this space.
