Mott MacDonald’s new office in Noida, that will support its growing business in the country and the wider region has been inaugurated by Jinoos Shariati, First Secretary (Trade), Head of Infrastructure & Energy Sectors Department for Business and Trade, India, British High Commission, New Delhi.
The state-of-the-art office in the national capital region of India, offers enhanced facilities for employees with space to accommodate its growing team.
The Noida office will support the delivery of Mott MacDonald’s design, engineering and digital projects across the world and follows the recent expansion of the Bengaluru office to accommodate a global design centre and digital hub. The company now comprises 1,400 employees across India including the Group’s IT shared services team and the domestic South Asia team.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Jinoos Shariati said: “I want to congratulate Mott MacDonald on your new office in Noida, which reflects the energy and spirit of the employees I have met today and success of a leading UK company in India. I am delighted to be here to inaugurate this space for you and wish you the best in your future endeavours.”
She added “It is heartening to see so many women engineers, architects and professionals working in this organisation, providing a glimpse of what India offers to the world today. I am also impressed with Mott MacDonald’s efforts to promote inclusivity by bringing career returners back into the workforce. This plays an important part in ensuring those skilled people still find a place to continue to grow their careers.”
The opening was also attended by Mott MacDonald employees and senior leaders including Ashley Taylor, managing director, South Asia and Global Delivery Services business; Lijo George, divisional general manager, Global Delivery Services; Amit Mukherjee, South Asia development manager; Pooja Rastogi, digital hub manager and technical excellence lead; and Lakshmi Kaul, advocacy, engagement and ethics lead.
Thanking Jinoos Shariati for joining in the celebrations and for her continued support to Mott MacDonald, Ashley Taylor said: “The team in India is growing and helping expand the services we provide nationally and internationally. In Noida, our global delivery services team, the digital hub, our management consultancy, advisory services and international development teams are all working collaboratively to deliver project excellence for our clients, from large multinationals to multilateral agencies, and importantly the communities we work in too.”
She added, “We are also proud to accommodate our fast-growing digital team who are developing innovative digital solutions for our projects around the world.”
