Mott MacDonald completes acquisition of Engevity

Mott MacDonald, the AUD$3bn global engineering, management and development consultancy has completed its acquisition of Engevity, a national business that specialises in strategic advisory across the energy, climate and infrastructure sectors. Engevity has rapidly built an industry leading offering in Australia with an experienced team of trusted experts tackling challenging projects and creating enduring value for clients. Craig Chambers, Engevity’s managing director becomes Mott MacDonald's new energy lead for Australia.

Engevity has extensive expertise in renewable project development, energy market strategies, and policy design. The deal also brings climate software that complements Mott MacDonald’s extensive digital tools and supports its decarbonisation strategy. The new software will enable clients to better assess and quantify climate risks and opportunities across an economy or portfolio.

 

 

Through this acquisition, Mott MacDonald will be able to accelerate sustainable and renewable project development; strengthen its offering on the transition of regulation, markets and policies that support new technologies; and undertake climate scenario impact modelling and the development of net zero strategies for clients.
