Mott MacDonald appoints Victoria Day to lead energy in New Zealand

Victoria Day has been appointed by Mott MacDonald to lead the business’ energy team in New Zealand.

In her new role, Victoria will be responsible for further developing the company’s capability in the delivery of vital energy infrastructure for key clients. There is a significant demand for expertise in this space as New Zealand aims to achieve its goal of 100 percent renewable electricity by 2030 and 50 percent renewable energy consumption by 2035.

Prior to this appointment, Victoria was project strategy and delivery lead within the advisory sector for Mott MacDonald in New Zealand. She brings a wealth of expertise to the position, with over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, project management and design across transport, water and advisory.

Victoria Day said: “There is a huge demand for energy expertise in New Zealand as the country strives towards its ambitious goals for electrification and decarbonisation.
