Mott MacDonald appoints John Macaulay to lead transport in Western Australia

John Macaulay has joined Mott MacDonald as transport lead for Western Australia.

Based in Perth, John’s focus is on growing Mott MacDonald's business and increasing its involvement in major transportation projects in the west.

 

 

Previously AECOM group director – Western Australia, John brings strategic and values-driven leadership and a proven track record from over 30 years of consultancy experience in Australia, the UK, the Middle East and Turkey. He is passionate about driving strong organisational culture as a foundation for high performing teams, service excellence and business performance.

John has directed multi-disciplinary teams, across several countries, for major transport, master planning and infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients.

He has had lead roles on major projects including METRONET, MAX Light Rail, Canberra Light Rail, Istanbul Road Tunnel Crossing project, Abu Dhabi Airport masterplan, Edinburgh Tram, Battersea Power Station redevelopment and Project Pinewood masterplan.

John’s appointment follows the firm’s recent announcement of the expansion of its Perth-based team with the acquisition of Merz Consulting, an Australian engineering and energy consultancy business specialising in power distribution, transmission and generation design and project delivery.
