Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy. We are a leading consultancy within Singapore and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Technical Director - Structural to join our Built Environment sector. 

 

Our building and construction engineering skills are well represented on several high-profile projects. Some examples like Rochester Commons mixed-use development at Buona Vista feature shared executive learning centre, hotel and office facilities as well as Lyf One North, Sengkang Grand Mall & Residences, Pasir Ris 8 Mall and Residences with integrated transport hub/hawker centers and polyclinics. Our engineers provided civil and structural design and construction support. 

 

We are also the client’s civil & structural engineer CapitaLand’s Science Park 1 Phase 1 rejuvenation project at Science Park Drive, a business park covering 150,000sqm and comprising 2 blocks of 9-storey and 2 blocks of 15-storey buildings housing offices, wet labs and serviced residents.

In this role, you are required to:

  • Structural engineering design predominantly in the buildings space; 
  • Actively implementing digital design processes in project delivery as business as normal practice; 
  • Structural technical skills development 
  • Ensuring project performance excellence in delivery and assist in developing the Mott MacDonald technical profile;
  • Collaboration with other engineering disciplines and consultants;
  • Assisting with scoping, estimating, pricing, reviewing and managing projects;
  • Project management, relationship management and technical design responsibilities
  • Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues, architects, engineers, contractors and clients
  • Adopting all relevant requirements in maintaining rules and regulation
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior engineers

 

About You: 

  • Possess a Professional Engineers Board practicing certificate / recognized university degree in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in an engineering consultancy service.
  • Engineering Strategy would be highly advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and lead a project team.
  • Expert knowledge in Singapore building standards, with QP experience
