The Opportunity  

 

Our Project Strategy & Delivery team is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to support the delivery of our committed work, and growing pipeline of prospects for government and institutional clients. These initial engagements are primarily within the design and construction delivery models common on major energy and transportation infrastructure but also extend to the buildings and water sectors that we also serve within Queensland. You will be joining a diverse team of consultants who are passionate about what they do, with a proven track record guiding our clients, and leading delivery of our most critical projects. 

 

Depending on your specific expertise, your responsibilities will include various aspects of: 

 

  • Conducting client feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports. 

  • Developing, in collaboration with project advisors and our technical team, client contract packages for various elements of project delivery. 

  • Managing commercial negotiations with various parties, including clients and industry partners, in complex arrangements across joint ventures, design and construct engagements, and collaborative delivery models such as within Alliances and as Integrated Delivery Partners. 

  • Handling of contractual frameworks, standard contract forms, and their effective administration including as our trusted representative and at times on behalf of clients. 

  • Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve commercial management procedures, templates, and products that improve our client services.  

  • Advising our senior leadership on matters of commercial risk and governance. 

  • Collaborating with in-house counsel, insurance managers, and technical leads to produce fit for purpose internal solutions to commercial risks. 

 

About You 

 

As a senior member of the team, you will have focused on improving commercial outcomes for both your clients and our projects. You will; 

 

  • Qualifications relevant to engineering, project management, commercial management, law, or business 

  • Have experience infrastructure consultancies and delivery of major projects; Practical experience of Standard Forms of infrastructure contract.

  • Have strong commercial skills and detailed understanding of relevant procurement and delivery strategies in Queensland.   

  • Have Sector Experience in one or more of the following energy, transport, education, or health. 

  • D&C Contract Management and Business Development and Relationship Management preferred
