The role is based in India supporting the Management Accountant (CEN services), partnering with the SIR and DPD management to provide accounting support and financial analysis relating to the SIR and 
DPD support services. Reporting to the Management Accountant CEN services (FAL) and ultimately to the Management Accountant lead (FMAL). 


Annual tasks 

 

  •  Performing monthly variance analysis to budget, reporting to the management team 
  •  Driving the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle for IT and Digital 
  •  Facilitate budget reviews with IT & Digital Functional Managers 
  • Support Group Finance with the preparation of statutory adjustments and audit information as required 

 

Monthly tasks 

 

  •  Maintaining Budget Performance Review file, performing monthly variance analysis to budget, reporting to the management team 
  •  Coordinating and managing Apptio software for IT finance 
  •  Facilitate periodic budget reviews with IT and Digital Functional Managers 
  •  Overseeing software and hardware recharging across the Group 
  •  Software usage review and reporting across the group. 
  •  Preparation of capital expenditure 
  •  Month end review of SIR division and moving costs to balance sheet where required. 
  •  Preparation of accruals & prepayments 
  •  Assist in preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. 
  •  Preparation of monthly IT and Digital financial reporting slides 
  •  Creating and maintaining all activity codes records 
  •  Provide ad-hoc financial information for project and divisional management 

 

Quarterly tasks 

  •  Facilitate the preparation and processing of quarterly SIR statutory recharges across the Group and invoicing 
  •  Provide data extracts to auditors and other external stakeholders where data is being analysed by a 3rd party. 
  •  Support the FAL to enforce data protection policies ensuring data is adequate, relevant and not excessive. 
  •  Requests from stakeholders internal and external should be reviewed to ensure data protection is not compromised 
  •  Delivery of regular training on data protection across the finance community, ensuring teams are kept informed of the latest best practice enabling them to understand data that can and can’t be shared Staff 
  •  Supervision of Accounts Assistant 
  •  Training of SIR finance staff Job Category 

 

Competencies and skills 

  •  Financial and accounting skills and basic commercial skills are a pre-requisite. 
  •  Advanced analytical skills and problem-solving skills 
  •  Effective communication with clear and concise explanation, reasoning and persuasion, must be 
  •  English speaking, with good written English language skills
