Mott MacDonald is looking to appoint a Project Engineer to provide leadership for Transmission Engineering activities in North America.

 

You will provide leadership to an experienced and knowledgeable team of engineers and designers and in some instances, you may also be required to act as the Project Engineer on key projects of significant importance. You are expected to work collaboratively, helping to develop the brand, leveraging skills to win and deliver work in North America and providing support to the international team and for wider projects and prospects.

 

The responsibilities of the position will be varied, but will typically include:

 

  • Designing overhead and underground lines by creating the technicial specificiation, calculations and drawings.
  • Review the design work completed by his/her peers and ensure compliance with scope and QA/QC requirements
  • Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of work activities with other multi-discipline project team members.
  • Engineering technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to developing engineers within the department.
  • Continuous improvement of job-related, engineering technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.

 

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

 

  • Significant knowledge of T&D Engineering with 5+ years’ experience.
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized accredited institution.
  • Professional Registration: (PE) required, or the ability to obtain a PE in 2 yeras is required. 
  • Has experience of working with OEMs, Contractors, and Consultants.
  • Excellent communication skills.

 

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
