As we continue to grow, we are looking to welcome pipeline project managers to the team. You will be working alongside nationally recognized experts for major, household-name clients.

 

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Project / Construction coordination and management for pipeline/midstream projects
  • Client interaction and advice for best practice and industry standards for Engineering Design & Construction
  • Project controls and planning for combinations of the following energy network project types:
    • Fabricated assemblies
    • Transmission pipelines and gathering lines
    • Meter stations, loading and offloading facilities 
    • And/or compression and pump stations
  • Provide Construction support/advice to clients for pipeline routing and pipeline & facility construction
  • Prepare project specific engineering design budgets, project proposals and pipeline related construction estimates
  • Coordinate with team members and Cost Control to compile input to review and produce project reports
  • When construction projects commence, construction support can be managed primarily from office and/or field depending on client needs and candidate desires to be field based for any agreed duration
  • Provide team mentoring and guidance
  • Project overview of schedule, budget, contract, etc.
  • Managing energy projects, major energy clients and project teams
  • Supporting and coordinating commercial proposals (bids)
  • Under the direction of energy leadership, directly interfacing with clients on behalf of Mott MacDonald
  • Work closely with other Mott MacDonald business teams and units
  • Assisting with professional excellence activities across various subject areas
  • Raising the profile of projects internally and externally
  • Business travel as required to support projects

 

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or project management 
  • 8+ years’ experience in in design and construction of pipelines and facilities, with a focus on project and construction management for 3+ years
  • Experience with estimating pipeline installation, associated facilities, HDD crossings and other related costs. Pipeline construction and estimating experience is required.
  • Strong project management, leadership, interpersonal, communication, documentation, and technical skills are required.
  • PE license preferred but not mandatory, dependent on related qualifications.
  • Possess sound judgment; highly developed management, organizational, interpersonal, presentation/training, oral and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work with multidisciplinary teams, deal with complex issues and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret complex reports, recognize problems and define and evaluate solutions.
  • Experience with client interaction and ability to excel in a client-facing role. 
  • Ability to travel, as per client requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of industry codes and standards ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195)
