Seeking a highly experienced Principal Project Manager with over 15 years of professional experience in leading and delivering complex programs and projects in various sectors including rail, transit, and the built environment, working on Northeastern US and other North American markets. The candidate should have extensive experience in the railway sector with capabilities in Engineering Safety Management (ESM) and Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS) engineering and Systems Assurance.

 

Job Duties:

  • Able to demonstrate application of Systems Engineering / RAMS approaches and methods on projects.
  • Good report writing, team leadership, team working and communication skills.
  • Supervision and leadership of staff in project delivery.
  • Competent in using standard office software to produce well-presented, coherent professional documentation.
  • Staff will be expected to serve roles for staff augmentation on behalf of rail /transit clients  (MTA Construction & Development) and be collocated on client office site. In staff augmentation roles, the work is at the direction and discretion of the client.  

 

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • 15+ years experience in systems thinking, requirement management, risk management, and interface management
  • Expertise in RAM modeling, safety by design, hazard identification, and management of hazards and requirements
  • Proven track record of technical leadership, tendering guidance, team leadership, and staff development
  • Experience in project principal roles for a portfolio of projects for a range of clients.
  • Develop client reports, design criteria for systems and systems engineering
