Senior Engineer - Landscape

About the role:
We are hiring for one of our major projects in Abu Dhabi, and looking for Senior Engineer - Landscape with civil infrastructure experience to join the site team. 

Key responsibilities/Duties:

• Carry out constructability review drawings during construction stages of all landscaping works. 
• Review in timely manner the contractors submittals and forward the comments to the engineering manager. 
• Ensure the contractor incorporates the comments raised from previous reports or from site modification and implementation. 
• Attend technical meetings with the contractors, and company team. 
• Review the change requests / variations submitted by the contractor. 
• Review contractor proposed design organizations and related cv's and report to engineering manager on his findings. 
• Coordinate with PMC's document controller and PMT QA/QC Eng. to ensure that all documents related to his discipline are properly controlled. 
• Review any alternative to the design concept submitted by the contractor, prepare and submit a report including recommendations for company approval highlighting advantages and disadvantages of each alternative. 
• Review the architectural/landscaping drawings, specification submitted by the contractor at each stage of the construction and ensure completeness, correctness, compliance with the scope of work and construction contract requirements. 
• Review the materials proposed by the contractors and propose alternative to improve quality, future maintenance, and safety and cost effectiveness. 
• Advise planning engineer and engineering manager for any slippage of progress regarding site activities. 
• Attend technical and progress meetings with the contractors. 
• Review spare parts, maintenance manuals, or landscaping and architectural trades and ensure compliance to construction contract requirements. 
• Participate with PMC all discipline engineers in reviewing close-out report as submitted by the contractor. 

Essential Candidate Requirements:

• Should be qualified Engineer BSc or higher
• Experience in Managing Landscaping works.
