An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Vancouver team to support us in our ongoing growth.  This role is expected to include the following: 

 

  • Undertake complex technical assignments in:

    • Hydrology

    • Open channel hydraulics

    • Drainage and surface water management

    • Erosion and sediment control

    • Master planning

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to developing staff in water resources engineering.

  • Support the identification and pursuit of business opportunities in:

    • Hydrological assessments, modeling, and analyses.

    • Evaluation of water availability and temporal flow patterns.

    • Development and implementation of water management strategies.

    • Data interpretation for data obtained from field studies, remote sensing, and monitoring.

    • Assessing the impact of climate change on water resources.

    • Design and construction of water management infrastructure in urban, industrial and natural environments.

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to provide industry-leading solutions on engineering and environmental projects.

Education, skills and experience that will help you succeed will include:

 

  • Master’s degree in river engineering, hydrology, water resources, or related field.

  • Ten to fifteen years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in the use of applicable software including PCSWMM, Visual OTTHYMO, GoldSim, and HEC-RAS 2D.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • On-site construction experience.

  • Familiarity with watershed management and water quality modeling.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $115,000 - $130,000 annually. 
Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
