Job description: 

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Senior BIM Engineer to join our civil engineering and architectural design team in Sofia. In this role, you’ll bring your expertise to help shape meaningful projects within the Energy and Nuclear sectors. You will provide technical guidance while working in a collaborative and inclusive environment, where innovation and teamwork come together to address real-world challenges.
As part of our BIM practice, you'll have the opportunity to mentor, and support a dynamic team of professionals. You will share your knowledge, participate in skill-building sessions, and help grow our team through leadership and guidance. This role allows you to inspire and nurture the next generation of engineers while growing your own career in a supportive and forward-thinking organization.

 

Some of your tasks will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Develop and implement BIM execution plans on diverse, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Coordinate and guide the BIM activities of multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Lead the setup and management of project environments in Autodesk Construction Cloud, ensuring adherence to ISO 19650 principles for information management.
  • Design and detailing of structural members, and development of BIM models and CAD drawings.
  • Implement quality assurance processes, ensuring accuracy and excellence in BIM data.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of digital tools for automating design and analysis workflows.
  • Lead the preparation of technical proposals and contribute to new project opportunities.
  • Represent the team's expertise internally and externally, presenting at international conferences and forums.
  • Actively contribute to planning, budgeting, and task management.
  • Organize and conduct internal and client-facing technical meetings, with opportunities for international travel

  • Provide guidance in BIM and engineering design projects.
  • Mentor, support, and organize the work of junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
     

Candidate specification: 

Essential: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in structural engineering.
  • Experience with BIM software such as REVIT or similar.
  • Knowledge and experience with structural design and detailing.
  • Experience in applying quality assurance procedures.
  • Ability to work independently in multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and excellent technical writing skills in English.
  • Good understanding of design codes, standards, criteria, and design execution pertinent to civil and structural engineering.

 

Desirable: 

  • Experience in structural analysis.
  • Programming skills / automation of modelling and processing.
  • Experience on a team lead role.
  • Keen interest in digital construction and digital technology.
