About the business unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. From preparing the business case and​ advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.

 

Overview of role
We are looking to recruit a Project Administrator to support our Transport Mobility Solutions ongoing project controls function. You will be assisting us in continually improving the way data drives our decision making processes.
 
You will be working within a Project Management Office (PMO) team and undertaking administration functions which will include financial, commercial, information management and reporting responsibilities across a range of high-profile engineering projects.  

 

You will be responsible for incoming and outgoing information and accurately maintaining registers. You will assist the PMO Lead and Project Managers with running financial reports and updating cost spreadsheets. Additionally, you will provide project level administration and commercials support when required.  

 

Your principal accountabilities will range depending on the services required by individual projects. These may typically include: 
•    Document control; managing and maintaining document registers, commercial change registers, including supporting the integration of cost, resourcing, risk, programme management;
•    Rationalising reporting, data capture and data management to provide meaningful information that will increase efficiency;
•    Gathering data from existing systems, process and internal workings of our business;
•    Supporting or preparing Weekly/Monthly dashboards, updates and reports relating to project progress.


Candidate Specification
The successful candidate will be proactive, enthusiastic and eager to play a part in a growing team. It is important that you can work autonomously, developing your own network and have good stakeholder management skills. 

 

You are a keen problem solver with the ability to pick up and learn new skills and technologies. You are self-motivated, able to prioritise and work under pressure to deliver various reports and provide strong attention to detail. Additionally, you are able to demonstrate administration accuracy as well as a high degree of numerate literacy.
 
You will also be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and competencies:
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels.
•    Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of team.
•    Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
•    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

 

The following skills will be an advantage:
•    Knowledge of information management systems (IMS) e.g. SharePoint, Autodesk BIM360 and ProjectWise.
•    Experience of the civil and structural engineering sectors.
•    Experience of working in a Design and Build project environment.
•    Knowledge of project delivery using ISO 19650 processes.
•    SharePoint project site administration and setup.
•    Experience with PowerBI or analytics.
•    Experience with Asite Common Data Environment
•    Knowledge and experience of NEC Contracts.
