Our Buildings team includes engineers in the primary disciplines of Building Services, Building Sciences, Sustainability, Structural and Façade engineering. The team delivers projects regionally and contributes to the Group’s growth in the ANZ and broader APNA region.

 

The role. What you will do:

 

We have a new, exciting opportunity for a Principal level ICT Engineer, to join our growing Building Services team based in Auckland. 
In this role you will find opportunities for strong career progression by contributing to boutique and large scale local and international projects. As the newest member of our team you will have experience in a similar role, across all project sizes and are comfortable delivering ICT design and supporting multi-discipline buildings and infrastructure projects. Among others, you’ll be responsible for liaising with clients and end users to establish project requirements, the production of project deliverables – specifications, reports, solution briefs and schematics from feasibility and concept design through to construction administration and post completion handover. You will complete design calculations using computational and network design software for LAN, WAN, WLAN, Unified Communications and Security Systems and work in close partnership with our Graduate, Senior and Principal Engineers, the client and contractors.

 

You will be working on a range of interesting buildings projects that will see you design and manage the following systems:


• Data Networks & Wireless LAN
• Data Centres, Cloud and Virtualization Technologies
• Electronic Security/Surveillance Technologies – CCTV, Access Control, Analytics, PSIM
• Information and Cyber Security
• Control system solutions – BMS, SCADA
• Telecoms Distribution - Structured Cabling Systems
• Audio-Visual and Public-Address Systems
• Digital Signage and Way Finding Systems

 

About you:

 

You will be a degree qualified Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunications Engineer or equivalent with a few years post graduate experience, in the design and specification of Information technology systems and services for buildings and infrastructure. You are looking to join a well-established team that holds technical excellence to a high regard, and bring your expertise to contribute to the successful delivery of challenging engineering projects.
