Job Description

  • Candidate should be well versed with use of Navis review software .
  • Candidate should be able to take up isometric and model checking work as and when required
  • Act as a single point of contact on matters related to pipe stress in all phases of the project .
  • Be accountable for the technical integrity of the discipline work -stress.
  • Monitor and be accountable for and manage the technical interfaces with equipment and package supplier, as appropriate, to ensure that the equipment and packages comply with the technical requirements and specifications and to monitor the compliance to client basis of design , standards & Project specifications .
  • Represent Piping discipline in meetings , discussions audits , verification , workshops related to pipe stress .
  • Candidate should have demonstrated ability in carrying out stress study and its associated calculations of piping system along with the allied activities like preparation of stress critical line list, preparation of summary of nozzle loads and vessel cleats, preparation of loading for pipe rack/ structures as an input to CSA, Assist design for critical/non-critical lines and review them in piping layout/ isometrics/ 3D Model, preparation of pipe related sketches, Flange Leakage study etc
  • Prepare specifications and data sheets for stress specific special items such as spring aid, expansion joints and perform technical evaluation.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as process group to confirm various operating scenarios to conclude the stress load cases, two phase flows etc. or with structural group to confirm locations and loads.
  • Prepare stress isometrics mark-ups and issue the same to layout group. Ensure that the stress recommendations are incorporated in piping design by signing and stamping on stress critical isometrics.

 

Candidate Specification :

 

  • Qualified BE / ME in Mechanical  /Chemical  from a reputed university / institute
  • Experience in Engineering Consultancy firms, with Chemical Industry / Pharmaceutical / Oil & Gas  background.
  • Candidate should be well versed with all relevant international standards like ASME, API, NEMA, EJMA etc. and also relevant stress study software like CAESAR. Knowledge of Ansys will be an added advantage
  • Candidate should be a good team player and shall have good communication ability (verbal and written)
