This role is responsible for assisting in performing electrical power systems analysis for renewable developers, utilities, and contractors. As part of this role, the successful candidate will learn to prepare detailed power system models, perform advanced dynamic and steady state simulations, and issue technical reports detailing the methodology, modeling, and results of the study.  
 
Responsibilities:  

 

  • Assiting in the development of detailed power system models of wind generation, solar PV generation, battery energy storage system (BESS) facilities; 

  • Assit in performing load flow, short circuit, and stability studies for renewable developers and utilities; 

  • Assit in preparing accurate and detailed technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations; 

  • Accountable to follow applicable codes and standards, policies and procedures; 

  • Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of work and design activities with multidisciplinary team members; 

  • Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance 

 

Candidate Specification : 

 

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience: 

 

  • Pursing Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

  • Basic knowledge of electric power system network analysis, transmission planning and assessment techniques.  

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills  

  • Experience in writing equipment specification 

  • Experience in harmonic and GIC analysis
