Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Single line Diagrams, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Block Diagrams, Equipment layouts, Hazardous Area Classification layouts, Power layouts, Cable Tray/ Conduit Routing layouts, Grounding layouts, Lightning Protection Layouts, Lighting layouts, JB Layouts, Section/ Elevation drawings, I/O drawings, Installation drawings and Bulk MTO for Electrical/ Instrumentation systems within Oil & Gas projects.
- Fair understanding of E&I items such as Transformers, Panels, Cables, Heat Trace system, PLC’s/ RTU’s, Control Valves, Field Instruments etc… and deliverables such as Equipment/ Load list, Instrumentation list, Cable/ Panel/ Instrument schedules, Lighting Calculation, PFD’s & P&ID’s, I/O lists, PLC/ RTU Panel layouts etc..
- The activities can be for FEED, Concept studies or Detailed design. It will involve both HV and LV distribution based on Client standards, International standards (NEC, API, IEC, IEEE etc..) – for US, Middle East, Europe, South East Asia regions.
- Coordination with other Disciplines or external Design consultants for sharing of inputs as well as carrying out Interdisciplinary checks.
- Awareness and adherence to QA/QC procedure.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to consistently meet project deadlines, showcasing a dedicated approach to task completion, including occasional flexibility in working hours when required.
- Shall be a committed team player who enhances productivity, takes responsibility, delegates efficiently, and excels in completing tasks.
- Duties may include extended, but temporary, out-of-town assignments.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualification:
- Certified Draughtman’s course from a reputed institute. Diploma in Electrical Engineering would be preferred.
- 5-12 years of relevant experience in E&I design/ draughting in a Consultancy organisation for O&G Projects. Overseas experience as well experience in Power Sector would be an added advantage.
- Software Proficiency : ACAD 2D, Visual Lighting/ Dialux, Navisworks, Bluebeam Revu, PDF Xchange Editor.
- Experience in CadWorx, ElectroWorx and E3D would be an added advantage.
- Proficient in the latest version of AutoCAD, including familiarity with shortcut commands, X-ref (external references), base model files, and 3D to 2D conversion. Capable of working in both Paper Space and Model Space within AutoCAD. Knowledgeable in the use of attribute blocks, layers, system variable etc..
- Awareness in use of MS office - Word/ Excel/ Outlook.
- Ability to work independently with lead office as part of integrated team.
- Skilled in handling multiple projects, interpreting client comments independently, and generating drawings from scratch with minimal mark-ups.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Self-motivated individual with keen interest to learn new skills and add value to the team/ organisation.
