Job Profile

Well-versed with IRC codes in design of Geometric elements – NMT Infrastructure – Road Safety Compliances. Generation of Horizontal Plans – Vertical Profiles – Road Strip Plans -Typical Cross Sections, Generation of plans and Drawings for Road way furniture and NMT infrastructure.

A Transportation Engineer with strong technical leadership analytical skills, written and verbal communication skills to join our project management Pan India team.

 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Corridor Reconnaissance and inventory collection.
  • Verification of Topo Data
  • Road inventory assessment identification of gaps for the NMT infrastructure.
  • Development of Design Basis for the Roadway Furniture and NMT facilities.
  • Preparation of Junction Improvement Plans/ Mid-Block Crossing/ pedestrian amenities/ footpath developments.
  • Development of Parking Bays for two wheelers/Four Wheelers.
  • Preparation of NMT infrastructure: Foot Paths, Bus Shelters, waiting areas, way side pedestrian amenities.
  • Development of Typical Cross Sections (TCS)/ Strip Plans/ Corridor Horizontal and vertical profiles including Staircase access area development.
  • Prepare and finalize the Master Plans for the internal roads and external connectivity to the trunk routes at the project sites.
  • Corridor and Junction improvement components include:
  • Footpath Improvement Planning
  • design of Bus stop Improvement/ (incl. replacement) -22 Number
  • Staircase Improvement - 20 Number
  • Junction Improvement -22 Number
  • Public Spaces & Amenities-10 Number
  • Coordination with the inter disciplinary teams for the client delivery as per the ToR.
  • Development of BoQ and Costing in coordination with the Quantity Surveyor.
  • All the NMT infrastructure and highway design works should be prepared using an integrated approach that adopts smart growth principles, keeping in mind the future needs, potential impacts of such proposed investments in physical development terms on the surrounding land-use(s) of sub-projects/ project sites, viable new technologies for enhancing efficiency of service delivery and effective coverage; and adopting low-impact development/ green infrastructure principles, as feasible.

 

Minimum qualification

  • Master’s degree (Highway Engineering/Transportation Engineering/Transportation Planning)
  • Experience: preferably 12 Years from master’s degree.
  • Industry: Highway Geometric Design, Design of Hill Roads, NMT infrastructure design, Townships, smart cities, multilateral funded projects,
  • Experience in Master planning and infrastructure planning and Designing at Hill Regions
  • Functional Area: Highway Engineering
