Seattle Waterfront Revitalization: This project aims to transform the Seattle waterfront into a vibrant public space, enhancing the city's connection to Elliott Bay. 

 

Seattle Light Rail Expansion: Mott MacDonald is contributing to the expansion of Seattle's light rail system, improving public transportation and reducing traffic congestion. 

 

To support a major transit program in Seattle, we’re looking to welcome a Design Coordinator. The Design Coordinator responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to: 

 

  • Responsible for interfacing with various disciplines and coordinating their inputs for technical and commercial reports 

  • Monitor potential changes against the current scope of project 

  • Perform project document control and review of submittals for compliance 

  • Coordinate distribution and collection of design review comments and determine appropriateness of review comments 

  • Package completed design review comments for delivery to the contractor 

  • Attend meetings as required and prepare meeting notes/minutes as well as produce materials for meetings 

  • Schedule project meetings and activities for various project staff 

  • Track and monitor project/program schedule and coordinate all sub-consultants deliverables to be on time 

  • Monitor all project/program budgets against schedule milestones to ensure successful project delivery 

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for distribution 

  • Review weekly timesheet and expense report 

  • Assist developing fee proposals 

 

The ideal candidate will have the following: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Up to 5 years of experience in similar role or be an EIT looking for a change in experience   

  • Experience with document control 

  • Familiarity with various contracting, procurement and project delivery models 

  • Experience with engineering projects preferred 

  • Working knowledge of project design process and configuration management preferred 

  • Able to read and understand project/program schedules preferred 

  • Capable of tracking budgets and deliverables against overall project/program requirements 

  • Must be able to manage large volumes of work simultaneously 

  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and time management skills 

  • Experience with Office tools, especially SharePoint, ProjectWise, Excel, and PowerPoint 

  • Experience with Business Management System forms 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

  • Confident and positive attitude

At Mott MacDonald, we provide a comprehensive benefit package that includes 401k, medical, dental and vision insurance, short-term/long-term disability, paid holidays, PTO, parental leave and company paid life insurance. 

The expected salary for this position is $114,000- $140,000

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
