Tim Hill

General manager, water and environment
UK

Biography

Tim joined the dams and reservoirs team at Mott MacDonald in 1990. Over the next 20 years he worked as designer and construction supervisor on major dam and hydropower projects around the world including Oman, Pakistan, Egypt and Iceland. In 2007 he was appointed to the UK Government’s All Reservoir Panel of Engineers, enabling him to undertake statutory safety inspections for the country’s reservoirs. He still maintains his links to the reservoir industry and his position on the Panel, regularly working with clients to support the safety of these critical assets.

From this technical background Tim developed his business management expertise, initially leading and growing the Group’s dams and reservoirs team, before going on to manage the Environment Division and later the Water Consulting Division. Tim’s current role is as General Manager of the £120m European Water and Environment business.
