Rose-marie de Loor

Global practice leader, health
UK
Given the impact of the built and natural environments on human health and quality of life, I believe it is imperative to adopt a multi-sector whole-systems approach to address ill health and health inequalities.

Biography

Rose-marie joined Mott MacDonald as a health specialist in 2002 after she settled in the UK, following years of living and working overseas in international development. She specialised in public health (MSc) and multi-sector approaches (MA) as she believes that reducing health inequalities should be addressed through multi-pronged, whole systems approaches.

Rose-marie embraced Mott MacDonald’s diverse sectors and disciplines. She was responsible for Mott MacDonald’s international health portfolio for international development clients such as DFID, DFAT and USAID in countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

In the last ten years she has taken on more strategic global roles, including six years as global sector leader for international development and, since January 2022, as global practice leader for health. Rose-marie brings together practitioners whose work involves healthcare infrastructure, health and care systems strengthening, and those whose work impacts on health and wellbeing. This work spans climate change, clean energy, air quality; education, biophilic design, design for active and integrated travel, and nature-based solutions.
