Richard Risdon

Richard has led our UK and Europe region since 2022 and is responsible for teams delivering projects across a range of sectors and clients. He brings his passion for improving health and safety, strong client relationships, good collaboration and positive employee development to everything he does. His client-centred approach is built on developing client empathy – truly understanding client’s challenges from their perspective in order to provide the solutions they need.

Having studied civil engineering at Leeds Metropolitan University, Richard’s sector speciality is water and he has over 25 years’ experience in that industry.

Prior to his current role, Richard spent 23 years with JN Bentley where he held a variety of roles across the business including operational delivery and health and safety. He joined the JN Bentley board in 2013 and was involved in the formation of Mott MacDonald Bentley Contracting (MMBC), where he was head of operations.
