Biography

What three words would you use to describe what you do/life at Mott MacDonald?

Rewarding projects, great people, progressive culture.

Why did you join Mott MacDonald?

Having worked client-side for a number of years, I’d gained experience of working with most of the large consultants. Mott MacDonald stood out as different to its peers. It put behaviours front and centre; its values aligned well to my own. Eleven years on, I have never looked back.

Describe your role and responsibilities; what’s the impact of your work?

I lead Mott MacDonald’s advisory and programme management business unit for the aviation and maritime sectors. My team provides the services, other than design and engineering, that are needed to delivering projects: project management, programme management, commercial management, contract management, cost management, estimating, procurement, risk management and planning. We tend to operate exclusively on the client’s side of the fence as an extension to their team.

Who do you work with and how?

We work with most of the UK airport operators, plus clients in aviation, aerospace and advanced air mobility.

What do you enjoy about working here?

It’s a combination of our people and client focus. Our ownership model plays a huge part in attracting people who care about delivering great service to clients, solving problems creatively and with excellence, and future sustainability.
