Global cities lead
UK
I love getting under the skin of what makes a place tick, what drives those who live and work there. For me this is vital when our work is often about introducing new solutions.

Biography

Clare is the global cities lead at Mott MacDonald. Having led regeneration, low carbon and sustainable innovation projects across the globe, Clare now uses systemic thinking to push boundaries and improve people’s lives.

From her 35 years’ experience in the sector, she combines her practical understanding of construction and development drivers with policy engagement, bringing insight into the technical, political, financial and behavioural aspects of sustainable development and healthy, resilient, low carbon living.

With a focus on the value of partnerships in the face of long-term challenges, Clare is supporting an industry-led collaboration of infrastructure organisations supporting the UK transition to net-zero, including authoring a report ‘A place-based approach to net zero’ on the city-scale transition to net-zero to explore the challenges and opportunities facing city leaders. She is a member of the Mayor of London’s Infrastructure Advisory Panel and is Framework Director for London’s flagship programme, the Zero Carbon Accelerator.
