Barry Williams

Barry Williams is the managing director of Mott MacDonald Ireland Limited and country manager for the island of Ireland.

Barry, who has a master's degree in civil engineering and is a Fellow of both Engineers Ireland and the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, joined the business in 1991. During his career at Mott MacDonald, he has been involved in and led on the design of major infrastructure schemes covering roads, bridges and flood relief schemes and the design of public and commercial buildings. Barry is passionate about delivering positive impacts for communities served by the infrastructure we develop, while securing the best outcomes for our clients.

Barry oversees the commercial and technical performance of the company in Ireland and influences policy and strategy by leveraging his extensive experience in transformational projects, advocating for innovative and sustainable solutions. He also has a strong background in managing engineering staff and promoting professional development and is committed to continuous learning and mentoring young engineers.
